60° Or Warmer 5 Of Next 7 Days!

Finally we have more 60s in the forecast and even 70s by next weekend. Lately that is something to be excited about. 63° is the average high this time of year but this month has been below average 14 of 25 days.

Some of the days coming up with highs in the 60s will be cooler at the lakefront and that includes today. Most areas will warm to 60° but only lower 50s lakeside. The best news is there should be plenty of sunshine on this Sunday

The meteorgram for O'Hare shows a mostly dry week coming up. Best chance for rain will come late Tuesday and into Wednesday. A few stronger thunderstorms can't be ruled out mainly south of the city.

Looking longer range...

The 6-10 day temperature probability from the Climate Prediction Center has us slightly favored for above average temperatures overall for the first five days of May. The 8-14 day has us outlooked for below average temperatures overall for May 3rd through the 9th.

Here is my 7 day forecast: Today: Partly to mostly sunny High: 60 (50 Lakefront) Monday: Partly to mostly cloudy, pm sct. showers, breezy Low: 38 High: 64

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, sct. showers/t-storms Low: 48 High: 66 (58 Lakefront)

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, a few showers mainly early Low: 50 High: 59 Thursday: Partly to mostly sunny Low: 45 High: 58 (54 Lakefront)

Friday: Partly to mostly sunny Low: 44 High: 64 (59 Lakefront)

Saturday: Partly to mostly cloudy, sct. showers Low: 48 High: 72
